Maya A. Butler, LPC, ACS, NCC received her Master's of Arts in Professional Counseling from Richmont Graduate University and a Bachelors of Science in Biology from Georgia Southern University. Maya holds the designation as a National Certified Counselor from the National Board of Certified Counselors, as well as, a designation as a National Approved Clinical Supervisor. It is a great privilege for Maya to walk alongside individuals as they become who they desire to be. She provides Psychotherapy and counseling to individuals, couples, groups, and families which include adult, children, adolescent, and elderly populations. Maya uses a combination of evidenced-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Systemic Family Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
Her specialties include providing Psychoeducation, Psychotherapy, and counseling on integrating alternative healing modalities and spirituality into Mental Health practice. Additionally, Maya specializes in helping people navigate life experiences, heal from trauma, create and support healthy boundaries, and stress management. She believes the relationship between therapist and client allows opportunities for individuals to create a safe space for personal healing and emotional wellness through openness and transparency.
